The lead-acid battery is a backup power storage for electricity energy. Maintain air-tight and liquid-tight status during regular use. When the internal air pressure exceeds a limit value, the safety valves will automatically open to release the gas. When the internal air pressure is reduced, the safety valves are automatically closed to seal it, the valves are preventing external air from entering the interior of the battery.

The filling caps are used for filling electrolyte or pure/deionized water, checking electrolyte and venting gas. In theory, lead-acid batteries need to check the density and liquid level of the electrolyte during each maintenance, and add distilled water if there is a shortage. However, with the upgrading of battery manufacturing technology, lead-acid batteries have developed into lead-acid maintenance-free batteries and colloidal maintenance-free batteries, and there is no need to add electrolyte or distilled water in the use of lead-acid batteries.

Application of VRLA battery

There are three main purposes of lead acid batteries..

1. Motor power supply

Mainly used in motorcycles, tractors and tricycles and electric bicycles and other vehicles with batteries.

2. Stationary power supply

Mainly used for telephone communication, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), security alarm, switch control, emergency lights, electronic equipment and medical equipment.

3. Motive power supply

Mainly used for motive powered wheels, such as 2-wheels bikes, 3-wheels tricycle, 4-wheels low speed electric cars.

Maintenance precautions for valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries

1. System connection check;

2. Do a good job in eliminating potential safety hazards;

3. Parts that may cause leakage, such as sealing inspection between terminals, exhaust valves, and shell covers;

4. Calibration of setting parameters and actual parameters;

5. Inspection and adjustment of float voltage and float current;

6. Regular ventilation and ventilation to discharge acid mist;

7. Do regular capacity checks.
