Design scheme of Containerized ESS with lead-acid battery

1. Demand analysis

The scope of supply of container-type lead-acid battery complete equipment includes lead-acid battery, auxiliary equipment, standard 40-foot container, spare parts, special tools and installation accessories, etc. Each standard 40-foot container contains tubular gel (DOD80 1200 times or more) or flooded (DOD80 1400 times or more) maintenance-free lead-acid batteries, battery racks and accessories, battery management systems (including external circuits), battery DC confluence equipment , Connecting cables and cable accessories between equipment (including copper noses, bolts, nuts, spring washers, flat washers, etc.), power and control signal interfaces, etc. According to the requirements of the tender document and considering the characteristics of lead-acid batteries, the energy storage system is designed as follows: each three standard 40-foot containers carry 2MWh, and each container is composed of 336 2V1000Ah tubular colloidal lead-acid batteries connected in series, with a voltage of 672V. Capacity 672kWh. Every 3 containers are connected in parallel to a 500kWh energy storage bidirectional converter. The total capacity of the three battery stacks can reach 2MWh, so the three containers in this scheme are one unit, and each unit is equipped with a set of BMS battery management system, which can monitor the working condition of each single battery. The container also contains smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, heaters, cameras, temperature and humidity monitoring and other equipment to ensure a safe and stable working environment for lead-acid batteries and realize remote monitoring.
