SMF (Sealed Maintenance Free) type battery

SMF battery is also called valve-regulated lead-acid battery or valve-regulated lead-acid battery. The GEM Battery VRLA battery is a battery that requires no frequent inspection, eliminating the continuous emission of fumes or gases and the dangers that come with them. Sealed maintenance-free batteries are widely used where maintenance is minimal and space requirements are a major consideration. Therefore, they are also called Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF). GEM Battery SMF batteries do not require water and acid charging and are completely maintenance free. There is no water loss in the battery during the charging and discharging cycle, and the working principle of the battery is oxygen recombination, it provides high power and high capacity for motorcycle engine starting.

Absorbent glass mat or AGM battery

The AGM battery in GEM Battery motorcycle batteries is a durable, efficient, maintenance-free sealed lead acid battery with absorbent pads between the lead plates for enhanced performance. The pad traps liquid electrolyte and brings it into close contact with the lead plate to reduce electrical resistance and provide better impact protection. The sealed case design recombines the gases generated during charging into the electrolyte, eliminating the need to add water.

Gel battery

The Gel battery in GEM Battery's motorcycle battery mixes silica into an electrolyte and converts it into a gel to create a highly stable, maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid battery. The viscous electrolyte reassembles the gas and vapor into itself and maintains a gel-like grip on the electrons without adding water. Gel batteries can be installed upside down or in any orientation and can withstand deeper discharge cycles than liquid electrolyte lead-acid batteries.
